LG GT 540 Optimus Review Part 2

As I promised, in the second part of the GT 540 review I will continue tracing down all the ups and downs of this smartphone that LG wants to promote as much as possible.

In the previous part I left the discussion at the audio and general multimedia playback. Besides the MP3 and AAC+ compatibility, the phone can also play MPEG 4 type video content, H264 or H263 and also Java content which is awesome for any user that knows what Java can offer.

In which regards the camera, LG has put a 3 megapixel camera in this handheld and quality and performance are more than satisfactory, even for the most demanding users and I consider myself one. Thus, the interface features many common functions found in most digital cameras, including the macro function, some exposure control, white balance settings, many various camera modes such as consecutive shots, panoramas, eliminate photo defects, manual ( which is very useful and interesting on a smartphone ) and auto focus, and also a number of presets that prove to be extremely funny and artistic alike. In terms of browsing and multimedia when we say Android operating system, we actually say speedy Internet. And in which regards browsing, the GT 540occupies a top position, largely because of the operating system and data transfer, also guaranteed by 3G, GPRS and EDGE coverage. If the above mentioned services are unavailable, GT 540 is equipped with a wireless network card, which facilitates connection to the Internet keeping you online no matter what. The integrated browser is fast and minimalist and as the Internet is a necessity for many of us today this is a very good feature. Also, they also integrated Google applications such as Gmail, Google Maps, Android Market, Google and Youtube Viewer, Instant Messaging and Document Viewer, all of them contributing to the independence of this phone’s user. In the multimedia section, the GT 540 not compromising the quality as the phone is equipped with FM radio and a powerful player able to play DivX/Xvid formats in WVGA resolution. In addition, Android has its own application for music, and for those who want to listen to their own playlists, GT 540 supports micro SD cards up to 32 GB.

Concluding the review with some final words the second effort that the LG phone market with Android operating system did granted us users with this superior model to its predecessor GW 620 and successfully brought together the modern user requirements and a price-quality ratio in the GT 540 terminal in a more than convenient way.

This means only one thing; try it and if you love it buy it!
