Sony Xperia 10i Review Second Part

The previous part of review ended with a program that I really wanted to uninstall. That was an example but others can be dissatisfied with another programs, for example Gmail for those who do not use Gmail as email client (I personally use it and recommend Gmail as email client to everyone, especially because the free IMAP and POP3).

Card slot placement is very uncomfortable. The smartphone has the Safely Remove option but in my opinion is useless because the card is under the battery and you need to remove the battery in order to remove the card. This option is made more useful for using the phone with your data cable, which makes me think it’s a marketing concept for Sont in order to force you to download the dedicated program from them (this in case you do not want to remove the battery from the phone). The phone package contains a microSD card reader. It’s rather a mess as they conceived this thing. If you use multiple computers you must have the dedicated software installed on each of them, or turn off the phone to remove your card and do the job. This, I think, is a problem that Sony has corrected on only one phone ( Sony Ericsson G 900 ) where you could remove the card without removing the battery.

Another disadvantage is the radio which is missing completely. I understood that the new version of Android fixes this; then it’s fixable.

The advantages are quite obvious, you can do anything on it. Browse the Internet, use Microsoft’s Office suite, you read Acrobat and even use mini Photoshop. Now do not think it is like a computer, but you do work with it more than honorable. For heavy users of YM, there is a program like the Messenger on your computer. Facebook and Twitter are implemented as basic social programs that customize the phone.

Android Market application helps you download programs from Google official app store, most are free, some cost. I recommend you only download from there and in case you download apps form any place elsewhere you should install an antivirus, because some sites use your phone to send SMS and data messages on your behalf and credit. The name for a known Trojan of this kind is SMS Android OS Fake Player.
So much for today, the advantages are many, there is no point in writing them as I noticed that the highlight for most people that want to purchase a phone are the disadvantages. If you want to know something and I can answer, leave your comments below and I will answer.
