Tech Insight-building Your Own Computer

After seeing what type of personal computer we want to build by ourselves for a certain budget, the time has come to resort to the heavy artillery as in this article, I will present some interesting options for setting up a top system. Theoretically, when we talk about such configurations, the price is the last thing we think of. However, as you will see throughout this article, there are few well defined exceptions. First, the best components have prohibitive prices for most of us, even if we have the budget for a top configuration. Therefore, we choose the components of the high – end range, but we will also analyze the prices in order to choose the most appropriate option available.

Secondly, there are components that are too strong even for the most severe requirements, for which the acquisition of gross superlative performance is not always justified. In terms of the motherboards unfortunately, the top segment confines us to an Intel hardware platform because for the time being, AMD does not provide that level of performance products to compete with the high performance competition products ( many would say that the situation is similar in the mid range ). Therefore, choosing a motherboard is simpler, because options are limited to those that use the 1155 socket, a socket chosen by Intel for its top configurations. Store offers can bring many options and these can be found for prices slightly exceeding $ 350, but we got off on some models with prices slightly ” bearable “, like the Gigabyte UD4 Z 68 X P ( $ 279 ), Asus Maximus IV GEN E – Z ( $ 260 ) and the MSI P 67 A – GD 55 ( B3 ) ( $ 210 ).

Regarding the processors, I think we must agree that top Intel processors are dedicated to the top of the range Core i7. Unfortunately, they also have prices easily exceeding $ 350 and even $ 450 for some of the best models. Therefore, in addition to the Intel Core i7 – 2600 working at a normal operating frequency of 3.4 GHz ( $ 400 ), I recommend two models of the Core i5 family that are somewhat cheaper, but should be powerful enough for even the newest games available on the market: the Intel Core i5 – 2500K at 3.3 GHz ( $ 300 ) and the Core i5 – 2300 at 2.8 GHz ( $ 230 ), the first of them with potential overclocking available.

Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook 530U4BI Review(0)

A midsize laptop launched by the Korean company Samsung earlier this year is the Series 5 Ultrabook 530U4BI which isn’t really an ultrabook in our opinion, but more of a regular midsize laptop.
